I’ve only seen two eps of Shadowhunters but people comparing Avalance to TV!Malec in literally any way makes me physically ill.
Sara should have been the one in the Green Arrow costume as a nod to how she’s inextricably linked to the mythos (not just through Oliver, but through Connor, as well), and to the forgotten fact she’s a skilled archer in her own right. If LOT gave a damn about honoring Sara’s character, or if it was as into turning sexist/heteronormative tropes and expectations on their heads as fandom likes to pretend it is, Sara would have been the one in the Green Arrow costume.
They should change the title to Legends of Klemmer’s Inferiority Complex. This is pathetic, frankly. More pathetic than the usual level of pathetic the show’s been the past year and a half, even, which I did not think was even possible.
The writers, crew and some of the cast do nothing but lap up praise that specifically comes at the expense of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl and the people behind those shows.
Hate to be the one to point this out, but if so much of the show relies on poking at the rest of the Arrowverse, that means it relies on the rest of the Arrowverse to exist. It cannot stand on its own now. Strip out the references to the other shows and complaints the original viewership has voiced and you reduce the content by at least 90%.
That didn’t used to be the case. IDEK where the childish resentment came from. It was doing well and was treated well until the writers decided to throw over its own fanbase for whatever reason trying to appeal to a bunch of dipshits that they didn’t realize were just loud but incredibly small in number, causing its popularity to tank and the execs to in turn ease up on its support.
They did this to themselves, but can’t admit it, so now it’s like, “I’m a miserable piece of shit because my siblings stole all of Mommy and Daddy’s attention,” when actually Mommy and Daddy disowned you because you stole the Benz and ran down your friend in a coke-fueled bender while your brothers and sister are off living their lives as productive members of society.
The show is now nothing but a bunch of talentless failures who couldn’t hack it anywhere else going, “Oh yeah? We’ll show you!” and gladly driving their ratings right into the fucking ground out of sheer spite at this point.
If you enjoy that sort of thing: you, too, are pathetic.
Someone explain the logic of canarygifs including Ava in the Sara/Team Legends gifset but ignoring the existence of actual Legends Rip, Kendra, and Len, people she owes her life and sanity to?

You don’t need to be afraid of ghosts. Only spirits looking to settle a score would harm a person. Ghosts aren’t about abject fear. They’re about justice. They’re here to right a wrong.

It’d be cool to look in any of the Sara/Amaya tags and not be bombarded with people jerking off to the idea of the two of them being raped, but this is the Legends of Tomorrow fandom so obviously that’s not happening.
LOT stans thinking Arrow fandom is too biphobic in regards to Sara is so insanely self-unaware I don’t even know what to say.
Sorry, friends, if you feel the need to insist Quentin never loved Alice even though he’s still explicitly stating he did now that he’s well over her, and even as his actions trying to save Eliot are pretty comparable to his behavior when Alice was a niffin, the only conclusion I can come to is that you’re a biphobic jackass.
Fandom does this with every bi character’s canon mixed-gender relationships and it’s shitty and if you can’t get it through your thick heads why it’s harmful and maybe reexamine where that need you feel comes from, you can STFU about how important queer rep is.
It’s wild to me that people take Nyssa’s side in the whole Resurrecting Sara Mini-Arc. Like y’all use that as a way to hate on Laurel, like really?
If Oliver didn’t happen to have met Constantine, which Laurel had no damn idea about at the time, Sara’s body would have been stuck as a feral shell who ran around doing things Sara hates (hurting people she loves and innocent young women) while her soul was stuck being tormented and crying out in agony in the Underrealm.
Laurel was fucking wrong.
Easy to say when you know what happens after the fact.
Laurel knew what? She knew, from Thea who was practically dead but came back fine, and from Malcolm’s words, "There are waters in Nanda Parbat. They’ve permitted Ra's to live for over a hundred years. And in rare instances, told in legend, those waters have been used to restore the dead to life.“ So, as far as she knew, her sister would be fine.
Nyssa, on the other hand, couldn’t have known either. Her father bathed in it, what every month? After every major injury? They say no one knows for sure, but Nyssa did? Why didn’t she say it clearly? ‘Hey, my dad told me everything about this Life Pit and if you do this Sara is gonna be like a demon’. But she didn’t.
So, why was she so forceful? Maybe cause she’s a toxic controlling person. Sorry, “lover”. Tell me why Nyssa, some Ex, has more say over Sara than her sister? ‘Oh, she loved her!’ Yeah, so does Laurel. More than Nyssa even. Do you think Miss ‘I’m gonna kill your mom and city if you don’t come back to me and my terrible dad’s murder organization and do what you hate and never talk to these people again’ Beloved cares more than Sara’s sister? Her sister, might I add, who lost her before? Who she was just reconciling with? Who found her body cause it was dropped right in front of her 10 minutes after they talked?
Y’all real quick to dehumanize Laurel. ‘Oh, she should have known!’ How? How could she have known? ‘She did it for herself!’ Oh, so you think Sara wanted to be dead? Y’all really think a sister wouldn’t do anything for her sibling? I would 100% do the same thing. My sister died but I knew a way to bring her back, even if there are complications, I would do it. I would do that in a heartbeat. I don’t even have to think about it, no doubt, no hesitation.
But it’s amazing how it’s Laurel who is selfish when who brought Thea to the Pit first? Oliver. When Caitlin Snow said she’d rather die than be Killer Frost but Julian still forced her to transform, still ripped the necklace off, was that selfish? Oliver consistently puts others in danger and just drops everything for his family but no one else can do that? He had no right to berate Laurel.
“How can you even look at Sara after what you’ve done?” Cause that’s her sister bitch. Stop giving up on people. Stop making mistakes than just leaving. Laurel is one of the few characters who actually stays and fixes her problems. Fixes her depression, addiction, relationships and now her sister.
Oh, and the whole, ‘She’s lucky Oliver knew Constantine!’ thing is pretty bull. You think they never would have found him? Or someone else? It’s almost like we don’t know people who use magic. Almost like they haven’t fought magic users and this didn’t start from Magic Water.
Yeah, Laurel shouldn’t mess with stuff she doesn’t understand, but she wasn’t wrong. Don’t act as if being in situations they do not belong in isn’t how every character started.
1. Nyssa wasn’t an ex, she was with Sara when Sara was killed.
2. Oliver realized he made a mistake when Thea started showing signs of the bloodlust.
3. Malcolm was against bringing Sara back at first and only changed his mind to further manipulate Thea.
4. Nyssa wasn’t wrong; the exact thing she said would occur happened. Her being fucked up on other occasions doesn’t negate the fact she absolutely was objectively correct here.
5. Thea wasn’t dead for a year.
6. Yes, Julian was being a selfish dirtbag going against Caitlin’s wishes and would have deserved Killer Frost stabbing him through the head with an icicle.
7. Laurel admitted to acting selfishly in a cut scene.
8. Remember when Laurel let Sara run around trying to kill innocent women for a week and didn’t tell anyone because she didn’t want to be judged? She put her own pride over Sara and Thea’s safety and over innocent people. Then she was going to put Sara down like a dog until Oliver intervened.
9. The whole damn point was that all anyone knew was bad shit happens when you try to resurrect a very dead person. Laurel even said she knew it was a very real possibility Sara would be a monster and that she didn’t care. Sara is still suffering the after-effects of what Laurel did to her.
10. We’re talking about the same disrespectful asshole who used Sara’s voice to keep their father from being able to mourn her. I frankly do not give a shit that poor Laurel lost her sister. Sara lost her life and her privacy and her agency and her legacy, and Laurel was the one that took those last three things from her multiple times and then made it all about herself over and over and over again.
11. Is your last sentence supposed to support your argument? We could say the same shit in defense of any of the characters you’re shitting on, then.
