With regards to the numbering issue: Why not just used a legacy numbering system like Marvel did years ago--the lower/season number in bold with a lighter/grey ongoing number under it. Everyone's happy...well, you can never make everyone happy, but you know what I mean.

We stopped doing that because it was fouled up so often that it became ridiculous. We have a hard enough time keeping track of one number, let alone two.
“Adding 1 to a single number is really hard, so adding 1 to two different numbers is basically impossible,” is what I get from this statement every time Tom makes it.
